What is recorded here
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1900. Attached lean-to outbuilding to side (west). Recent extension to rear (south). Pitched artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and uPVC rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed openings with two-over-two timber sliding sash windows and concrete sills. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door. Outbuilding to side (west). Rendered boundary wall with piers and wrought-iron gate.
The form, style and architectural design of this building may indicate a Congested Districts Board house, which attempted to improve living standards through the construction of houses in rural areas throughout Ireland from 1891-1923. The retention of original features such as the timber sliding sash windows enhances the building's character.
