What is recorded here
Detached L-plan three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1820. Hipped slate roofs with red brick and rendered chimneystacks. Textured rendered walls to front (south) elevation, smooth rendered walls to east elevation. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed door openings to east and front elevations with timber panelled half-glazed doors, that to the east set in gabled projection with red brick pediment. Rendered boundary walls with rendered square-profile piers to entrance having decorative caps and double-leaf cast-iron gates. Square-profile rendered piers to east of site with stepped caps.
Symmetrical façade with emphasis on central entrance typical of older medium sized rural houses. Interestingly, two examples of archetypal façade here, south and east. Although in poor repair, retains much heritage fabric including timber sash windows. Adds architectural interest to the road.
