Killowen holds a lost holy well where March rounds once wound through ordinary life. They stopped, the name faded, and the water disappeared behind farms and forgotten fields. What remains is a hole in local memory, marked only by a book and a townland name.

Bowman (1934, 136) recorded holy well in Peter Foley's farm in this townland where 'Rounds which have long since been discontinued, were paid 'some time in March'.' Exact location not known.
