Cush East is known for a holy well now hidden beneath a large concrete slab. The local landowner showed the well to the SMR office in June 1988, but no tradition survived to explain why people once gathered there. What is certain is that the water was important enough to mark, and what remains is a flat grey cover where curiosity must stop.
