Holy well dedicated to Ss. Peter and Paul located in close proximity to the medieval church ruins (LI029-174001-) in Ballingarry graveyard (LI029-174002-). Westropp (1904-5, 408-9) recorded that near the church ruins was, ‘the well of SS. Peter and Paul (O.S.L., 8, p. 60)'. Well marked on 25 inch map in area 25m to ENE of medieval church ruins could be the holy well dedicated to Ss. Peter and Paul mentioned in the Ordnance Survey Name Books (OSNB, 197). Molony (1905, 259) recorded that 'Close to the churchyard is the well of SS. Peter and Paul'.

The holy well at Cloontemple is dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul and is associated with medieval Christian tradition in the area. It was recorded near the ruins of a medieval church, suggesting a long-standing spiritual connection to the local graveyard and ecclesiastical heritage.
