According to Power (1952, 118) there was a well called Tobar Brighde at Carrigcastle. It remains unlocated. Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload/revision: 10th May, 2011.
Linked to St. Brigid, the well (Tobar Brighde) was likely associated with her widespread veneration in Ireland, where holy wells dedicated to her were often sites of pilgrimage and healing rituals. Though unlocated, such wells were traditionally believed to offer cures for ailments and were frequented for offerings and prayers.
