Detached single-bay single-storey gable-fronted rubble stone boathouse, c.1860, with segmental-headed carriageway, and single-bay single-storey side elevations. Renovated, c.1985, with openings remodelled, and square-headed carriageway inserted to rear (east) elevation. Now disused. Pitched (gable-fronted) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods on exposed timber eaves. Random rubble limestone walls with tooled squared limestone quoins to corners. Segmental-headed window openings with stone sills, and tooled limestone ashlar voussoirs. Now blocked-up. Segmental-headed carriageway with tooled limestone ashlar voussoirs. Now blocked-up. Square-headed carriageway inserted, c.1985, to rear (east) elevation with timber boarded double doors. Set back from line of road.

An attractive, small-scale building that retains much of its original form, and some of its original character. The tooled limestone ashlar dressings to the openings enhance the architectural quality of the composition, and the building remains an appealing landmark in the locality.
