The shell of a windmill tower 'built [1787] by Denis Browne' representing an important component of the late eighteenth-century industrial heritage of County Mayo. Furthermore, a "tin roofed" outbuilding continues to contribute positively to the group and setting values of a self-contained ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene.
