What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1838, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of lichen-covered drag edged tooled limestone ashlar piers having ogee-detailed cornices below monolithic capping supporting wrought iron double gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Milford House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 31312205) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Milford House estate.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
