Graveslab in Castletown (dundalk Upper By.) holds two 17th century grave-slabs inside a church, one marked Bellew and dated 1630. The large stone measures 2.26m x 0.96m and is 0.15m thick, big enough to cover more than one remembered life. They still lie where people once laid them, quiet under foot traffic and candle smoke.
