Grave Yd. is a walled graveyard at the top of a gentle south-facing slope in County Kildare, preserving burial markers from the 18th to 20th century beside a possible medieval church site. It lies within thirty to seventy metres of a motte and the levelled remains of Ballyshannon Castle, suggesting death, worship and military defence all shared one small landscape. The wall still stands with a northern gate, while the castle disappeared beneath the ground, leaving the graves as the clearest mark of human continuity.

At the top of a long gentle, S-facing pasture slope. Contains a possible medieval church site (KD028-058002-). A motte (KD028-058001-) stands c. 50m to the E, and the levelled Ballyshannon Castle (KD032-003002-) stood c. 70m to the SSE. An outwork of the bastioned fort (KD032-003001-) which defended Ballyshannon Castle enclosed the church, but the graveyard is not depicted on the plan (Fitzgerald 1899-1902, 447). A subrectangular area (c. 50m E-W; c. 30m N-S) is enclosed by a mortared stone wall with an entrance gate on the N side. Legible burial markers date from the 18th to the 20th-century.
