What is recorded here

Grave Yd is a working graveyard on a west-facing slope above the Kiltha glen, where the oldest surviving stone marks death in 1747. People still walk its narrow length to visit or bury, past the buried church and the low bank that stops the marked row. The ringfort waiting outside the fence suggests the ground has held dead and living for far longer than the stones admit.

On W-facing slope overlooking glen of Kiltha river, on N side of road. Rectangular graveyard (c. 90m N-S; c. 50m E-W), in occasional use. Foundations of Clonmult parish church (CO055-032002-) near N end. Low bank crossing graveyard, 30m from S end, defines southern limit of marked burials. Inscribed headstones date from 1747 (Henchion 1976; Coleman 1907-9a). Ringfort (CO055-033----) immediately outside graveyard to S.
