Located on a slight E-W spur between small E-W streams and their valleys c. 60m to the N and c. 170m to the S, and on the E side of the N-S River Slaney with the river c. 200m to the SW. The parish church of Tikillin (WX037-015001-) is within a raised rectangular and scrub-covered graveyard (dims c. 40-50m E-W; c. 30-35m N-S) defined by low scarps, with a retaining wall at N.
