Grave Yard

A roughly trapezoidal area (c. 40m E-W; c. 35m N-S at the W end; c. 32m N-S at the E end) enclosed by a stone wall with vertical coping. The entrance, located at the E end of the S wall, conisist of a large double wrought iron gate with a pillar on either side. The headstones date mainly to the 20th century, though some 19th-century examples were noted. Two blocks of dressed stone with chamfered edges, located at the E end of the graveyard, may be associated with the remains of the church (KE047-044002-). According to the caretaker, there were a number of yew trees in the graveyard, of which only one survives.
