What is recorded here

Kilnanare Church vanished beneath a Kerry graveyard, leaving no wall or roof for modern eyes to touch. Legend claims a companion of St. Tinian or St. Cummian built the first shrine there during the fifth or sixth century, embedding the site in deep Christian antiquity. The building disappeared, yet the graves above still mark the place where worship once happened.

In a graveyard (KE047-044003-). This church is not visible at ground level. In the 1940s it was recorded that Kilnanare (Cill na nAodhán) church (KE047-044002-) stands on the site of an earlier church or monastery built by 'a contemporary of St. Tinian or St. Cummian in the 5th or 6th century' (ITA).
