What is recorded here

Killee Church and its graveyard vanished into County Cork pasture, leaving only grass and occasional stone bumps where worship and burial once marked the land. The 1842 survey still drew an oval grave yard and central church, but no wall, door or grave marker remains for a visitor to touch. What is left is a field that remembers being sacred, holding dead names and living silence beneath ordinary turf.

Graveyard depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as oval enclosure (c. 28m N-S; c. 35m E-W) defined by broken line, with rectangular structure (c. 12m E-W; c. 7m N-S) in centre defined by broken line and named 'Killee Church (site of)' (CO019-013002-). No visible surface trace of either church or graveyard except perhaps for some stones protruding through grass.
