Grave Yard in Grange, County Galway, is a small triangular children’s burial ground set in level pastureland, its graves marked by numerous stones within a low scarp. The adjacent village name Calluragh may preserve the memory of that old burial ground, giving the quiet field a deeper claim on human time. One inscribed slab records a child of two, while the other stones remain unnamed, leaving the place full of small losses rather than grand history.
In level pastureland. This children's burial ground (L > 5m), triangular in shape, is defined by a low scarp. Within it numerous set stones mark graves. The name of the adjacent village of Calluragh, meaning an old burial ground (Joyce 1923, 97), may reflect its presence.
