What is recorded here
Terraced two-bay four-storey house, built c. 1845, now vacant and with disused retail outlet to ground floor. Pitched roof with rendered parapet and pair of rendered chimneys. Timber shopfront comprising of fixed window, panelled door, simple pilasters and plain entablature. Replacement aluminium windows to upper floors.
This former terraced house is a prominent addition to the streetscape due to the fourth storey of the building, which towers over the surrounding area. Though many interesting features and materials have been replaced, the building remains a notable contributor to the unique character of this part of the city.
