Grangeford Rath is a disused burial ground in County Carlow where local tradition claims graves from Grangeford Old were moved. A forty-metre circular area enclosed by a fence and planted with trees holds no visible structure, leaving only the shape of the boundary and the shadow of that transfer to mark the place.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Circular area (D c. 40m) enclosed by fence and planted with trees. No visible trace of any structure. According to local information, burials from Grangeford Old (CW008-022----) were moved here.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
