What is recorded here

Detached four-bay single-storey former national school, built in 1890, no longer in use. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimneystack, cast-iron rainwater goods and timber bracketed eaves. Pebbledashed walls with plaque to front elevation. Timber sash windows. Timber battened door with six-pane overlight. Front of site enclosed by rendered wall and gate.
Though now in poor condition, this former national school retains many original features such as the slate roof, timber sash windows, door with six-pane overlight and date and name plaque. This national school building type is found throughout County Leitrim. Some of the schools are still in use in a highly-altered form but this example retains its original plan and features.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
