On gentle SW-facing slope on E side of Owengarriff River valley, a tributary of River Lee. Comprises well-preserved wedge-shaped gallery (L3.8m; Wth c. 1.2m at W, 0.35m at E end) aligned ESE-WNW, represented by four sidestones to N and S, and backstone outside gallery walls at E end; surrounded by closely set outer walling. Two overlapping roofstones cover gallery. Gallery decreases in height from W to E. No indications of surrounding mound. Wedge-tomb (CO080-009----) stands 150m to SSE. According to Finlay (1973, 168), six cup marks on one roofstone and five on other. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its well-preserved gallery and orientation are significant for understanding regional funerary practices and architectural evolution in west Cork.
