What is recorded here

Garret Wesley, 1st Earl of Mornington, was born on 19 July 1735 at Dangan Castle in County Meath, Ireland, where he later became Viscount Wellesley and Earl of Mornington. He represented Trim in the Irish House of Commons, succeeded his father as 2nd Baron Mornington, and was elected the first Professor of Music at Trinity College Dublin in 1764. His early death in 1781 exposed the family to financial embarrassment, yet his musical talent lived on in Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, the only child who inherited it.
