Depicted as a small embanked subrectangular enclosure (ext. dims c. 25m E-W; c. 15m N-S) dfescribed as 'Garrane Fort' on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a fragment of a bank (C c. 20m) at SE on the 1927 ed. Situated in pasture on a gentle SE-facing slope, a spoil mound (dims. 10m N-S; 7m E-W; H 2m) occupies the site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
