Gallaun is a vanished standing stone from the Iveragh Peninsula, removed around 1965 by a landowner after centuries of witnessing human life. It stood beside the Owenboy river valley, likely marked by packing stones and a leaning slab that steadied its base. Its disappearance leaves a hollow place where memory and stone once touched, inviting wonder about the hands that moved it and the reasons they gave.
