What is recorded here

Gallán is a one-metre standing stone in Cork pasture, its concave top tilted east like a bowl waiting for rain. It stands twenty metres from another stone, suggesting two markers rather than one, perhaps guiding a path no longer walked. The hollow top may have caught water for drink, ritual or measurement, while its south-facing slope received extra sunlight. Whatever it marked, it still points upward and inward, inviting attention instead of explanation.

In pasture on S-facing slope, c. 20m to N of possible standing stone (CO111-013001-). Irregular stone (H 1m; 1.2m x 1.2m - all max. measurements) with concave top rising to maximum height (1m) on E side. Long axis N-S.
