Gallán is a subrectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, rising 1.55 metres on a southwest-facing pasture slope. Its long axis points northwest to southeast, and small packing stones remain visible at its base. The stone resisted mapping on both the 1842 and 1903 Ordnance Survey sheets, suggesting it stayed outside official notice for decades. It may have marked a boundary, a memory or a warning, but human life has turned that meaning into rumor.
