What is recorded here

Gallán is a subrectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, rising 0.75m from rough grazing with its long axis pointing east-west. Cattle knocked it around 1972, but someone re-erected it, refusing to let the animal erase what the hand had set. The repeated act of restoring suggests the stone still matters, even if only to the person who straightened it after the chaos.
