What is recorded here

Gallán is a rectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It stands fifteen centimetres deep, one metre forty tall, and faces northwest-southeast across level pasture beside the Sullane River. Another similar stone waits fifty-five metres south, suggesting a pairing rather than a lonely marker. The river has probably buried, moved or revealed stones like these for millennia, while people came and went without writing their names beside them.
