In pasture, on E side of stream. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (18.4m NW-SE; 12m NE-SW; H 2.1m); opening faces SSW. Second fulacht fiadh (10971) c. 140m to N. Probably one of four fulachta fiadh (10971, 10973, 10974) recorded in Island by Bowman (1934, 177). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
