Fulacht fia in Gearhanagoul

In rough hill pasture, within a field system (KE102-069-----). A horseshoe-shaped grass-covered mound (8.5m NE-SW; 8m NW-SE; H 1.3m) of burnt material with a NW-facing opening (Wth 4m). Some mound material is exposed due to erosion at NW. A relict wall of the field system extends N from the N arm of the mound. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
