Field system in Gearhanagoul

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Coomeelan stream. Collapsed curvilinear stone walls (T 1m; H 0.6m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and indicate a field system throughout an area measuring c. 300m E-W x c. 300m N-S. Rubble is scattered downslope from the walls. Sections of the wall regularly run on into bog. The visible fields vary in shape and size. Within this field system are four enclosures (KE102-069001-, KE102-069002-, KE102-069004-, KE102-069005-) and a fulacht fia (KE102-069003-).
