Fulacht fia in Gearhanagoul

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, in the valley of the Coomeelan stream and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE103-049002-). A horseshoe-shaped grass-covered mound (5m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.5m) of burnt material on the W bank of a stream. The opening faces E, towards the stream. Burnt material is exposed at the tip of the S arm of the mound. A fulacht fia (KE103-049001-) lies c. 35m to the N and a possible fulacht fia (KE103-049004-) lies c. 25m to the S.
