Fulacht fia in Curraghglass (lorrha Par.)

On flat poorly drained land with stream 50m to S, land has been recently ploughed and reseeded with grass, uncovering the remains of a fulacht fiadh. Stream to S forms townland boundary with Lissagadda. Church ruins (TN004-012001-) 370m to N, Lackeen Castle (TN004-022001-) 720m to E, enclosure (TN004-021----) 325m to S. Remains of a burnt mound material identified by David Broderick while fieldwalking in the area. Present remains consist of a low horseshoe shaped mound (dims. 8m N-S x 12m E-W) of burnt material with possible trough area (dims. 6m N-S x 5m E-W) open to S.
