What is recorded here

Cecilstown holds a fulacht fia beside a levelled ringfort, where burnt material still spreads across pasture. Bowman recorded the site in 1934 on D. Buckley's land, preserving a place that ploughs and forgetting have since blurred. People may have heated water there for cooking, cleaning or ritual, while the ringfort watched above. The field has changed, but the heat and purpose remain visible in its broken shape.

In pasture, to W of infilled pond and immediately N of levelled ringfort (12283). According to local information, spread of burnt material noted.
