What is recorded here
Situated at the foot of a low rise in wet, marshy ground. A WNW-ESE stream lies 2m N. Not marked on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. Approximately circular, low mound (10.5m E-W; 9.1m N-S; H 0.2m at N, 0.8m at S) composed of densely packed sandstone fragments within a matrix of black charcoally soil. The trough was probably at the N of the mound where the slope of the mound is more gently slumped.
