What is recorded here

Located in scrub towards the top of the SW-facing slope of a drumlin. It is depicted as a small circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 20m) on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a fragment of a hachured feature in the N corner of a triangular field on the 1911 edition. A scrub-covered area survives in the corner of the field. Its precise classification cannot be determined, and rath (LE027-112----) is c. 40m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 23 March 2017
