Terrace of eight three-bay single-storey officers' houses, built c. 1870, having verandahs to front elevation. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and gabled vents. Timber supports to verandah. Roughcast rendered walls having yellow brick dressings to openings. Slightly camber-headed and square-headed openings having timber sliding sash windows and limestone sills. Timber panelled doors.

A fine terrace, which retains much of its colonial-style character. It is an interesting reminder of the provisions which were made to accommodate military families. The 1870s saw improvement works at the barracks, with the construction of this terrace, adjacent hall, a deep fosse enclosing the fort, pier and gun batteries at sea level.
