Fort Davis

Detached L-plan barracks with lean-to porches, built c. 1950, now disused. Pitched corrugated-iron roofs with red brick chimneystack. Corrugated-iron walls. Timber fittings to openings.

Forming a group with the barrack buildings scattering in and around the fort, this building is a notable twentieth century addition. Corrugated-iron was used in many barracks throughout the country at the time, and is an interested contrast to the stone and brick of earlier buildings.
