In St George’s Church, Goresbridge, previously known as St Mary’s Church. The font was moved here from the medieval church of Powerstown (KK025-007001-), Powerstown East, which lies 3.1km to the SSW, in c. 1812 (see KK025-007002-) (Grattan-Bellew 1979, 45).
The font was originally from the medieval church of Powerstown and was moved to St George’s Church, Goresbridge (formerly St Mary’s), around 1812; its style and dedication are not specified, but it reflects the architectural heritage of the medieval period in the region.
