What is recorded here
One chamber lost its identity when the font left. The church in Dunmoe became an empty room, but the font itself still stands inside St. Oliver Plunkett in Navan, carrying the shape of the place that no longer exists.
The plain, octagonal, limestone font (ext. dim. 0.62m; H 0.38m) with a circular, straight-sided basin (diam. 0.46m; D 0.22m) and two receding mouldings underneath that was in the church (Roe 1968, 115) is now at the Roman Catholic church of St. Oliver Plunkett, in St. Mary’s Park in Navan (ME025-038----).
