Field system in Castlelloyd,garryduff (coonagh By.) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Four parallel boundaries still cut across the flat pasture where Castlelloyd and Garryduff meet, marking a forgotten system of cultivation. Spade marks at the southern edge suggest people worked that soil before the fields vanished from memory and mapping. The land has swallowed the names and dates, but the angles remain, waiting for someone to walk them and ask what was grown there.

On flat pasture bordering the townlands of Castlelloyd and Garryduff. The field system is located around the enclosures (LI024-211/-212----). The field system is not depicted on the OSi 1840 ed. 6-inch map nor is it depicted on the 1897 ed. 25-inch map. It is visible on the OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified as a relic field system by the Bruff aerial photographic survey (Bruff 20.5; AP 4/3621). The field system consists of 4 parallel field boundaries orientated NE-SW (ext. dims. 250m N-S; 200m E-W). There is evidence for spade cultivation contemporary with the fields at the S end of the plot. It is visible on Digital Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018.
