Field boundary in Mangerton

In rough hill pasture, on the W bank of the Kealgorm River, on the SE-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. Two sections of a N-S wall extend to the N (L 60m) and to the S (L 13m) of an E-W stream which flows into a tributary of the Kealgorm River. The collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.4m) protrudes above the bog surface and disappears into deeper bog at its extremities. The S section of the field wall skirts the E arc of a fulacht fia (KE085-002003-). There is another fulacht fia (KE085-002005-) to the SE.
