Field boundary in Gortlahard (glanarought By., Cappagh Ed)

In rough hill pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. A curvilinear stone wall (T 0.4m; H 0.2m) protrudes above the surface of bog (D 0.4m) and extends S for c. 45m. A cutaway section of bog reveals the base stones resting on clay. A hut site (KE102-078003-) lies at the S end of the wall and there is a fulacht fia (KE102-078004-) c. 50m to the N.
