Field boundary in Gearhanagoul

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope to the N of Coomeelan stream. A collapsed, curvilinear stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) protrudes above the surface of the bog (D 0.3-0.5m), extends downslope to the S for c. 65m and runs into deeper bog close to the N bank of the stream. At approximately halfway along the wall another wall branches off to the E and curves gradually to the S. An enclosure (KE103-020008-) and hut site (KE103-020007-) are in the immediate vicinity to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
