Terraced two-bay two-storey house, built c. 1855, part of terrace of five, and facing south. Single-bay two-storey slightly taller block to east having full-height box-bay projection to side elevation. Artificial slate roofs, hipped to east and to box bay, with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with cut limestone sills and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows, bipartite to front elevation of western bays. Round-headed door opening with render surround, fanlight, timber panelled half-glazed door, and carved timber doorcase comprising fluted engaged columns set on cut-stone plinth blocks with carved timber Ionic-style capitals and having fluted archivolt. Cut limestone steps to entrance. Set back from street with site bounded by rendered walls to front having cut-stone coping surmounted by cast-iron railings and having cast-iron gate.

This modestly sized house forms part of an intact terrace of structures of similar massing and form, but is differentiated by the added block to the east, whose form is enlivened by the box-bay protrusion. Its size and façade are typical of urban structures of its time as are features such as the round-headed door opening and symmetrical openings. It retains notable features such as the bipartite timber sliding sash windows and timber doorcase, which latter provides a focal point for the façade and lends it an air of elegance.
