Detached three-bay two-storey former house, c.1815. Uncoursed rubble limestone walls, with brick repairs to south elevation and roughcast rendering to north elevation. Timber sash windows with brick dressings and granite sills to openings. Timber panelled door. Pitched slate roof with brick chimney stack. Limestone rubble wall with concrete coping to east. Modern two-storey extension to rear. House now in use as a hostel.
This well-built former farm house of a pleasing simple design has been little altered and adds character to the modern hospital surroundings.
