Magic and life entangled there. Walled in, yet open to sky and memory. The fort still breathes, waiting for human courage to complete what stone began.
In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope, in area of outcropping limestone. Oval area (29m N-S; 34m E-W) enclosed by collapsed dry-stone bank (int. H 0.95m; ext. H 1.1m). Bank, best preserved SW->NNE, has field-wall running along top (H 1.3m). Level interior covered by mature trees; SE quadrant is enclosed by stone bank (H 0.6m). Dry-stone field boundaries abut external bank face at SW, NE, and E. Earth and stone bank abuts at S and extends to S on N-S axis for c. 22m, before fading out.
