No trace remains of the circular enclosure marked on old maps, yet loose stones and massive field walls still break through the wet rushy valley bottom. The site may have been a cashel, its boundary erased by water, time or forgotten labour. Whatever disappeared, the land kept enough shape to suggest a room built by human hands, now returned to soil and shadow.

There is no trace of the circular enclosure marked on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map. It was very close, and in similar wet rushy land, to a cashel (DG068-025). This together with the unusual massive stone field walls and loose scattered stones at this point suggest that the monument was a cashel. It was situated on the flat bottom of a shallow valley.
