Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Casheltauna is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Casheltauna, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the east edge of a broad plateau as a D-shaped grass-covered area measuring twenty-two point eight metres north-south and twenty-two point one metres east-west. A grass-covered stone spread two to three point eight metres wide and zero point two to zero point four metres high defines the perimeter, with occasional facing stones one point three metres wide at the east. An external quarry ditch five metres wide at the top and zero point three metre deep runs south-northwest, though the northern boundary is truncated sixteen metres by the south bank of an east-west road.
At the E edge of a broad plateau. D-shaped grass-covered area (int. dims 22.8m N-S; 22.1m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2-3.8m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.3-0.4m) with occasional facing stones (original Wth 1.3m at E). There is an external quarry ditch (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 2.4m; D 0.3m) S-NW, but the perimeter is truncated at N (L 16m) by the S bank of an E-W road (RO028-206003-) of field system (RO028-206002-). There is no identifiable original entrance, but there is a grass-covered clearance cairn (diam. 3.8m; H 0.5m) N of the centre. House site (RO028-206013-) is outside the perimeter at SE.
