Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Carrowkeale (Kilvellane parish), Castlewaller is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Carrowkeale (Kilvellane parish), Castlewaller, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a circular area 23.3 metres wide from east to west on a north-east-facing slope, enclosed by a drystone wall above an earth and stone bank 1.5 to 2.3 metres wide and 2 metres high. A waterlogged external ditch 3 metres wide surrounds the bank, and a stone-lined causewayed entrance 2 metres wide opens at the south.
Situated on a NE-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous area with a stream to the W. A circular area (diam. 23.3m E-W) enclosed by a drystone wall sitting on top of an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5-2.3m; H 2m) and a waterlogged external fosse (Wth 3m) with a stone-lined causewayed entrance (Wth 2m) at S. A possible field wall extends from the entrance towards a nearby cashel (TN037-021) to the SE. This is a well-preserved cashel with an impressive causewayed entrance and wall-footings of a possible circular hut site in the N sector of the interior. A stream intersects the fosse at W on a NW-SE axis.
